Hi there, I updated to this version of the module and when a phone is automatically added, the MAC address says soundpointip and the model is the MAC.
Phone Information
Phone Model SoundPoint IP 331
Part Number 2345-12365-001 Rev:B
UC Software Version 4.1.0.85402
BootROM Software Version 5.1.0.85063
@bcj
Thanks for the bug report. I’ve fixed this in version 2.11.0.9.
I’m looking to modify this to allow for setting custom ringtones and backgrounds perhaps. Do you have a github or something I can contribute to? Unless you’re already working on this functionality.
@ScorchedHands
I’ll have the code available on github in the next few days.

The FreePBX modules are available on GitHub at https://github.com/excaliburpartners
Does the latest version of the module work with FreePBX 12?
@bcj
I haven’t had a chance to test with the FreePBX 12 RC. I’m assuming changes will need to be made to support pjsip.
Hi,
I am using the exact same phone as ‘bcj’ and none of the phones show up in the ‘Phones’ section of the module after I set the provisioning server and reboot. I see the polycom (even as http) asks for a username and password in the menu (PlcmSpIp). must the /var/www/polycom folder have special permissions for this to work?
Regards
Chomps
First disable the authentication requirement in the module by going to Networks -> Edit Network -> and clearing the Username and Password fields. In the Polycom Phones modules manually add a phone with the dummy 0004f0000000 MAC address.. Then point your browser to the below url replacing voip.yourdomain.com with your server name. A XML page should be displayed.
http://voip.yourdomain.com/polycom/exten0004f0000000.cfg
If that doesn’t work try this URL, which doesn’t require mod_rewrite to work.
http://voip/polycom/exten.php?mac=0004f0000000
If the first link works then it is a configuring problem on the phone or DHCP server. If first link doesn’t work and the second does you need to enable mod_rewrite in the apache server. Let me know and I can help you proceed.
